TDGSM complies with the four pillars of international maritime law which are SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, and MLC 2006. It also adheres to COLREG and other related maritime conventions and mandatory regulations to ensure Safety of Life at Sea, Safe Operation of Ships, and Environmental Protection. It also adheres to International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREG) and other related maritime conventions and mandatory regulations to ensure safe sailing.
TDGSM’s policy is to have zero incidents by the process of continual improvement and development of management skills of shore and ship board staff.
TDGSM is committed to Total Quality Management (TQM). It also believes that in the realization of its business aspirations and the protection of the Owners’ interests and rights over the vessels, crew and the environment, it must put high regard on “Safety and Quality” as its highest responsibility.
In acknowledging safety and quality, TDGSM ensures the conduct of a regular “Potential Problem Analysis” to identify the likely causes of the occurrence of a problem where preventive action is taken to eliminate same and draw up contingency plans in order to control and minimize the effect of the problem. Drills are likewise conducted and recorded to improve response time and effectiveness of the contingency plan.
TDGSM is also committed to identify all the hazards associated in the safe and efficient operations of the vessel/s it manages, and likewise implement all necessary controls.
The entire process is regularly reviewed to improve the total process of safety and quality management.
